The English Club !

OK! Now that you’re back to school – or have sent the kids back – or back at work after the holidays, it’s time to think about the extra activities! And, as usual, The English Club can help you solve that problem. With us you can learn more and more about the English language and traditions in English speaking countries AND have fun at the same time.

September 27th – Meet The English Club in Piazza a Magenta

We will be at our stand, as usual, at “Festa delle Associazioni” in Magenta. Come and meet us, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. We will share this season’s Programme with you, and you can learn more about the Club!

2015 – 2016 Season Programme

So what have we got in store for you this season? As usual, our monthly meetings will be on the third Wednesday of each month from October to June. Here is the provisional programme, hoping there will be no last minute cancellations this time.

In our first meeting on October 21^st we will be getting to know new members and catching up on news from old friends. We have found some games and activities to encourage you to speak at all levels – because that is what the Club is all about!! You can come even with only a basic knowledge of English. Then on 18^th November – if it isn’t already coming out of your ears – we are going to ask you to tell us about your experience at EXPO! So if you haven’t visited it already – GO GO GO!!

Conversation Group & Theatre Workshop

In the meantime we are getting our extra activities for members off to a good start. We are organising the usual conversation group which gives intermediate/advanced speakers the opportunity to participate in weekly discussions lead by a mother-tongue tutor (minimum 4 members).

And we will certainly be having our Theatre Workshop again (minimum 6 members). Did you see the final performance in April? A great success! Write your own script! Impossible? Oh no it isn’t!

The sooner we reach the minimum numbers the sooner we can start – so why not give it a try. We will be having a meeting for everyone interested in either activity on Wednesday 7th October in Casa Giacobbe at 9pm. (senza impegno!)
