October 21st:

 The first English Club meeting this season!

Just in case you’d forgotten we thought we’d remind you that the first English Club general meeting is this Wednesday 21st October – 9pm in Casa Giacobbe (downstairs in the Sala del Pozzo)!

We’ll be welcoming new and old members with a ‘getting-to-know-you’ evening as usual. The new Club Committee has been working on the programme for this year and it has something for everyone – serious and not so serious – every month from October to June. And all for 30€ membership! In particular please note that the Christmas  party will be on THURSDAY 17th December.

Conversation Group

As far as the extra activities are concerned we have, of course, been promoting our conversation group which loads of members have joined this year. We even have a waiting list! This year the sessions will have an American flavour (or should I say flavor…?)

Theatre Workshop

The Theatre Workshop (in English, of course) is also off to a good start with old and new would-be actors taking on this fantastic adventure again. It will start officially on 28th October and we could still accept one or two more candidates for the group. Riccardo will help you overcome your shyness with basic exercises used in ‘real’ theatre companies; and then it’s up to you. Are you brave enough to join us? No experience needed!

2015 – 2016 Season Programme

So what have we got in store for you this season? As usual, our monthly meetings will be on the third Wednesday of each month from October to June (except December when it will be on THURSDAY 17TH December) . Here is the provisional programme, hoping there will be no last minute cancellations this time.

In our first meeting on October 21st we will be getting to know new members and catching up on news from old friends. We have found some games and activities to encourage you to speak at all levels – because that is what the Club is all about!! You can come even with only a basic knowledge of English. Then on 18th November – Remember we are looking for volunteers to tell us about their experience at EXPO!

So that’s all for now. If you want any more info we can talk about it at the end of the evening on Wednesday! A sort of Question Time.
