So May is here at last – even if you wouldn’t think so judging by the weather! Let’s hope it improves. Our pantomime in April was really appreciated by all who came. Well, it was a ‘sort of pantomime’ because some traditional elements were missing but a lot of people were experiencing  pantomime for the first time so we can consider it a gentle approach. The audience reacted really well and soon learnt what to say and when to say it! Congratulations to everyone – cast, stage director, technician  and, of course, the  audience.   Sorry if you couldn’t make it – you missed a really entertaining evening.

Sunday 15th May at 4pm.

MAGENTA – Chiesa di San Rocco

The Land of Polyphony

Our next appointment is an extra event organised by Marella with a Polyphonic Choir from Milan – Amici Cantores, a group founded in 1988 which has travelled Europe performing spectacular renaissance music concerts. They are particularly fond of sacred music and for that reason the concert has been organised in the old Church of San Rocco in Magenta. where you will be sure to spend a delightful afternoon.  So please come along on Sunday 15th May at 4pm. Non –members: could you please contribute with a donation of 5€ to support the choir. Thanks.

Our official monthly event  for May is a meeting on Wednesday 18th May at 9pm in Casa Giacobbe with  an English Speech Therapist , Jacqui Holden.

DSCF0702 - Copia

Now this may seem boring but  I assure you that it will be entertaining!. I have known Jacqui for longer than I care to remember; we went to school together and she was always the rebel! We also performed together in the school plays at the end of the year. She is now a professional speech therapist in London and will no doubt find original ways of helping you with pronunciation.  Mission Impossible?  Come and find out!
